A Versatile Voice
Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, Fernando’s language capability is far-reaching. And his wide vocal range is part of the reason you’ll recognize him as the man next door, a father, or a teacher. He expertly plays the roles of young man, middle-age man, and even an elderly gentleman with ease.
His vocal versatility allows him to modify his presentation from casual, conversational style to a more formal presentation.
He adapts well to many characters—from business and corporate promotional videos, IVR and on-hold recordings, to E-learning, audiobooks, podcasts, and online course audio. You may also recognize his voice as video game characters in website and app demos. He’s been featured on both the big and small screens as the voice of TV and Internet merchandising, movie trailers, and TV shows.

His voice is both warm and pleasant, or dynamic and professional, depending on the need. Not surprisingly, his audience is a diverse range of producers, publishers, and advertisers. Engaging and upbeat, Fernando’s voice is enjoyable and easy to listen to.
Fernando feels that voice over work is a divine gift, one he doesn’t take for granted. To improve his skills, Fernando says, “I listen to everything.” This is why voice hits the mark for so many project needs. Once a working musician, voice over actor Fernando Rodrigues marches to many beats. His background as a drummer led him to complete a commercial recording for a jingle producer. After that, he quickly found a new groove—and he’s worked as a voice actor ever since.
Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Fernando began working on small projects in 1998. Almost 30 years later, his voice has been featured in more than 3,000 works across 30 countries.
He has a bachelor’s degree in communications, and he studied voice over at SENAC and studied theatre at the Fundação das Artes. He spent many years as a radio and TV announcer, worked in advertising as a commercial narrator, and served as an audio editor and producer. You’ll often hear him as emcee of ceremonies.
Fernando records from his professional home studio and delivers quality, fast mp3, wave, aiff, or other standard audio formats. He prides himself on clean editing.
